Deuteronomy 18:10-13: There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire, or who uses divination, or is a soothsayer, or an augur, or sorcerer, Or a charmer, or a medium or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and it is because of these abominable practices that the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless [and absolutely true] to the Lord your God.

What is Yoga?
For many in the west, yoga is simply a system of physical exercise, a means of strengthening the body, improving flexibility, and even healing or preventing a variety of bodily ailments. But if we inquire into the history and philosophy of yoga we discover that “much more than a system of physical exercise for health Yoga is … [an] ancient path to religious growth.”
According to tradition, ‘yoga’ means ‘union’, the union…of the finite ‘jiva’ (transitory self) with the infinite ‘…Brahman’ (eternal self). Braham is a term used for the Hindu concept of “God”, or Ultimate Reality. It is an impersonal, divine substance that “pervades, envelops and underlies everything.”
Yoga is an ancient spiritual discipline that is deeply rooted in the Hindu religion. It can be traced back to 1000-500 B.C.

What is Kundalini and why is it so central to yoga practices?
Swami Vivekananda summarizes the kundalini  experience as follows: “When awakened through the practice of spiritual disciplines, it rises through the spinal column, passes through the various centres (chakras), and at last reaches the brain, whereupon the yogi experiences samadhi , or total absorption in the godhead”. And researcher John White takes the importance of this experience even further declaring: “Although the word kundalini comes from yogic tradition, nearly all the world’s major religions, spiritual paths, and genuine occult traditions see something akin to the kundalini experience as having significance in “divinizing” a person. The word may not appear ... but the concept is there ... as a key to attaining godlike status. Leviticus 19:31 states: Turn not to those [mediums] who have familiar spirits or to wizards; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.

To give you a definition on what Kundalni energy is here is a quote from the back cover of a well known occult book entitled Serpent power: The Secrets of Tantric and Shaktic Yoga by Arthur Avalon (Sir John Woodroffe):

Who is Kundalini, the Serpent Power?  Mythologically, she is and aspect of shakti (power of energy) and consort of Shiva. Philosophically she is the creative energy that forms mind and matter, and comes to rest in the lowest form of matter. She is consciousness: power of matter to know itself. In terms of Tantric practice, she is the mysterious power that resides in the human body and can be awakened by suitable techniques: special meditations and yogic practices of a particularly powerful nature. She is the Goddess: the ultimate heart of many Eastern religions, not only Hinduism.

Kundalini expert Kurt Kreuzer of the University of California, Berkeley says: “Even in the best of circumstances, the joy associated with the awakening of kundalini is likely to be attended with a certain amount of anxiety as kundalini wrests control from the ego and unconscious contents spill over into consciousness. At worst, kundalini awakening can push people into psychotic episodes characterized by visual and auditory hallucinations and bizarre behaviour.” He admits that that some victims “remain tormented for a lifetime.”

Some reported symptoms of “Kundalini Awakening” are:
•    Mental confusion, difficulty concentrating, memory problems
•    Severe emotional mood swings – anxiety, depression, rage, fear and dread
•    Sleep disturbances
•    Gastrointestinal problems, irritable bowel syndrome
•    Itching, burning, cramping, twitching of skin and body
•    Electrical rushes and feelings of energy moving through the body
•    Ego problems, grandiose and paranoid states
•    Psychic, trance states and out-of-body experiences
•    Sexual and hormonal difficulties
•    Uncontrollable vocalizations, chanting and body contortions
•    Ringing, rushing and hissing sounds in ears
•    Paranormal activity – levitations possession states and spiritual assaults
•    Inability to function effectively enough to work or care for children
These are but only a few.

Galatians 5:22-23: “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;”

All yoga postures and breath prayers have the capacity to invoke dark evil powers. Once the world of occult power has been tapped into through yoga postures, breathing techniques, visualization and occult contemplative prayer and chanting, then the dismantling begins. It might be slow at first but to be sure, the dismantling of one’s personality and newfound hostility towards the Gospel of Jesus Christ has begun. The very height and crowning achievement of yogic religion ends with severe stages and states of demon possession. Leviticus 20:6 says “The person who turns to those who have familiar spirits and to wizards, [being unfaithful to Israel’s Maker Who is her Husband, and thus] playing the harlot after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people [that he may not be included in the atonement made for them].

Included in the phenomena is possession to such a degree that a person’s individual human personality is completely blown out and replaced by an entity that counterfeits itself as the previously known human personality. This extreme phenomena is known as perfect possession. In Indian religion this is achieved through yoga. Often practitioners of yoga can without them ever realizing what is happening, practice, for “exercise” or otherwise, very powerful spontaneous demonic manifestations that can and often occur. Many ignorant people say that yoga exercises can be separated from yoga philosophy, but this is not true. It is the basis of Hinduism and it is westernized as “Breath Religion”, “The Science of Breath”, and “Transcendental Meditation”. This leads individuals to believe the great human lie of human “godhood”. This stands vehemently opposed to the God of the Bible and to every Christians’ faith in the Person and work of Jesus Christ.
As Proverbs 14:12 and 16:25 clearly says: “There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.”

Kundalini Energy and Christianity:
Today many Christians as well as Christian leaders are embracing things like yoga (Christian yoga), Contemplative (centering) prayer, Christianized meditation, mantras, and altered stated of consciousness – all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is no wonder that the mystical manifestations of occult powers are being experienced in Churches and believer’s lives all over the world today. Leviticus 4:19 “ And beware lest you lift up your eyes to the heavens, and when you see the sun, moon, and stars, even all the host of the heavens, you be drawn away and worship them and serve them, things which the Lord your God allotted to all nations under the whole heavens.”

A world yoga expert Gopi Krishna defines Kundalini in his work, The Awakening of Kundalini:
Traditionally she is known as Durga the creatix, Chandi the fierce and bloodthirsty, and Kali the destroyer. She is also Bhajangi the serpent. As Chardi or Kali she has a garland of skulls around her neck and drinks human blood.
Kundalini [is] the mainstay of ALL yoga practices - this was stated by Hans Ulrich Rieker who is an author of numerous books and well known authority on yoga and meditation.  With all this information why in the world would Christians do yoga and/or try to integrate kundalini into their Christian spirituality? There are only 2 answers: 1: they are completely ignorant of what yoga and kundalini arousal is or 2: they know what they are doing and don’t care.
The devil is working round-the-clock to kill, steal and destroy lives. Yoga always involves mind-control. When you attend yoga classes you are supporting witchcraft!!
1 Thessalonians 5: 22 says “Abstain from evil [shrink from it and keep aloof from it] in whatever form or whatever kind it may be”
In Matt 11:28-30 the Lord says: “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for you souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
This is what our Lord Jesus Christ wants for us. He doesn’t want you to be control by someone or something.
In 1 Peter 5:8 the Bible states that our enemy the devil roams around like a roaring lion seeking to devour people. So be cautious about anything that you get yourself into.

People by the millions are falling into the Devil’s trap of the Kundalini religion.   Kundalini is witchcraft!
Sri Chinmoy wrote the book Kundalini, The Mother-Power. Chinmoy attained mastery over the Kundalini and occult powers. Did you read that OCCULT POWERS. We as born-again believers know that Sri Chinmoy has serious problems if he’s involved in occult practices.  One of the definitions for occult says the following: “Supernatural forces and events and beings collectively” Using the Bible I would say that the word occult means, “any force, power or guidance apart from God and His Word.” To seek help, guidance, or information apart from the principles of God is foolish.
When one speaks of forces, he’s speaking of power. Notice what Jesus says in Matthew 28:18: “Jesus approached and breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”
Romans 13:1 “Let every person be loyally subject to the governing (civil) authorities. For there is no authority except from God [by His permission, His sanctions], and those that exist do so by God’s appointment.”

Sri Chinmoy says in his book that, “When we use spiritual power and offer peace, it is real peace” The Bible says that Jesus Christ is our peace. Ephesians 2:14: “For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us…”
Sri also says that you can have peace by using spiritual power. The Bible says peace begins by accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savoir. Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”
Only by trusting upon the Blood which Jesus Christ shed for our sins can any man have true peace – Jesus died, was buried and rose again for justification – All we need to do is turn to Jesus Christ, ask Him to forgive our sins and accept Him as our Savoir.

In chapter 2 of Chinmoy’s book he says that if you want to follow the path of Kundalini yoga, “Then power must come first in our life and power must come last in our life. When power divine is our first choice, fear leaves us. ” What blasphemy!!!! Sri is saying that we must have “Power Devine” as our ultimate goal. This sounds like someone in the bible who wanted to have Power Divine – Eve. The serpent deceived Eve by assuring her that she would be like a god if she ate from the forbidden fruit.
Genesis 3:5: “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like gods …”
Eve sinned by not pleasing God. Disobedience ALWAYS displeases God. Just as Eve failed to listen, people today are remaining wilfully ignorant of the truth of God’s Word. Sri says we must want “divine power”, but the Bible says we must submit to God’s power.
James 4:7 “So subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.”
Here is another quote from chapter 2 in Sri’s book “We need the mother of power to dance the cosmic dance of life…the dance of life immortalizes us.” This is not what the Bible teaches!! The Bible says in John 3:6 “What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.” You must be born again and that is the only true path to immorality.

Deuteronomy 6:4 states that there is ONLY ONE TRUE God. The whole concept of a “divine mother” is heathen in origin. The Holy Spirit is not the feminine side of Gog. God has NO feminine side! The Bible introduces us to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit – the Godhead.

The practice of summoning pagan gods is witchcraft. Kundalini yoga is pure witchcraft because you are using meditation to invoke the power of cosmic gods. These gods in reality do not exist, except as demons – who are not gods at all. Any powers which result from the use of any type of yoga are from Satan. Yoga is just another front to worship Satan. If you want power from the Devil, he will give it to you, but you will pay for it with your soul.

People are naturally curios about the supernatural and paranormal. There is danger in this. The danger is that Satan exploits our natural interests. All yoga involves pagan gods. God does not make light of witchcraft, neither should we.

The Bible is clear that the Holy Spirit of God dwells within every born again Christian. The Holy Spirit is “God in us.” The Holy Spirit guides us, teaches us, comforts us, rebukes us, reminds us of Scripture, convicts us, loves us, ect, ect. As born again Christians we seek our guidance and power from God and His Word. We don’t need yoga or anything else. We already have the God of the universe living in you.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing and effective]…”
1 John 4:4 “because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world”

If you want power, you are misguided. Our purpose in life is to please God. Revelation 4:11 states “Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and dominion for You created all things; by Your will they were [brought into being] and were created.”
We can only please God “by faith” We are never commanded in the Bible to seek power. Rather, the power of God is found in the promises of God.

I believe that the ultimate goal of ALL yoga practices is demon possession. Philippians 2:5 says “Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Jesus Christ: [Let Him be your example]” To open your mind in meditation to a series of pagan gods and occult powers is Satanic. This is also forbidden in the Bible. We are to trust in God alone.
The “mother god” that Sri Chinmoy speaks of is none other than the devil himself in sheep’s clothing
John 10:1, 9-10: “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way (elsewhere, from some other quarter) is a thief and a robber. I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out [freely], and will find pasture.
The thief comes only in order to steal kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

The Holy Spirit warned us ahead of time about things to come.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 says “But the [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach, Through the hypocrisy and pretensions of liars whose consciences as seared (cauterized)”

Ephesians 6:11
Put on God’s whole armour [the armour of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] strategies and deceits of the devil
